Hi! I’m Alexa. I am a Personal Development and Anxiety Coach. I am also a certified Reiki Practitioner. I help others overcome their anxiety, fear, and limiting beliefs holding them back from living up to their true potential and creating a life of joy, purpose, and fulfillment.
My whole life, I had this mindset that happiness was conditional, based on what I had or what was happening in my life. I would always say things like “I will happy when I’m done school and start working, when I find a better job, when I’m making more money or when this situation improves” My life, decisions, and goals were heavily influenced by societal norms and pressures, false beliefs and a huge fear of judgment and failure.
I struggle to understand why I felt so empty and unfulfilled. I felt so lost but had no idea why.
In 2019, my father passed away very suddenly. My entire world was turned upside down. Nothing made sense anymore.
Then, 2020 rolled around and well, we all know how that went.
I became completely debilitated by anxiety. I spent every minute of every waking moment in fear that something terrible was going to happen. The nights were the worst. When I was actually able to fall asleep, I would wake up shortly after in a full-blown panic attack. My chest hurt, my body ached and I was convinced I had every illness under the sun. I couldn’t concentrate on anything other than the worry and I felt like I would never feel okay, ever again.
In my search for help and resources, I found several Psychologists and Psychotherapists - aside from their extremely large price tag - none of them seem to have ever gone through anything similar. Sure the degrees and tools were nice, but if I was going to get help from someone, I wanted it to be from someone who truly UNDERSTOOD what I was going through.
I scoured the internet from top to bottom and read every possible self-help book I could get my hands on. I didn’t want to feel this way anymore. I needed to feel like I had control of my life again.
In my pursuit to overcome what I was going through, I realized that there were so many others experiencing the same things.
After getting a handle on my own life, I decided to become a certified coach so I could, in turn, support others.
