Hypnosis is a powerful tool to evoke change in your life. It is a deep level of guided relaxation and focus, to attain a heightened state of awareness. Hypnotherapy aims to re-program patterns of behaviour within the mind.
Uses: Stress management, boost confidence and self-esteem, stop smoking and other substance abuse, weight loss, aids with fears and phobias, anxiety and pain management.
Myths: You can get stuck in trance forever, hypnosis is mind control, you are asleep or unconscious during a session, hypnosis is a “truth serum,” you will lose control of your body and you will be at the mercy of the hypnotherapist.
Facts: Many people base their assumptions about hypnotism on stage acts, which are meant for entertainment and are not an accurate depiction. Hypnosis is natural and safe. No one can be hypnotized against their will. Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is not a state of deep sleep. The patient is actually in an enhanced state of awareness, concentrating entirely on the hypnotist's voice.
Disclaimer: For a successful session, the client must be ready and willing. The client needs to be at a point in their life where they are ready to change. Results are based on the client’s willingness to participate.
